Kelley Polar Quartet - Hammer / Anvil (2002 Disco)

Kelley Polar is probably best known for his collaborative work with Metro Area front man Morgan Geist. His string arrangements were the highlights of records like "Miura" and "Caught Up" and instantly made me grab every single Metro Area release I could at the time. This EP is essentially a continuation of that early Environ sound as it was released in close proximity to the MA releases. This is striped down analog disco/boogie at it's finest, pure class. Again ripped as a high quality .wav. Enjoy...

Lifelike MEGAPOST! (Early vinyl releases)

Lifelike has been one of my favorite producers and an inspiration for quite some time. I first heard his music through a friend on the Daft Crew website and the Soulseek group (this is where all the french house heads traded music back then). The following are his first releases on vinyl, you'll notice that his style has changed considerably since these records came out. His music had a much more funky/disco vibe then his newer releases which tend to be deeper sounding electro with heavy 80's sounding drums (amazing).

I've ripped them as .wav files for the best sound quality possible, and did a little remastering to get the levels up. I'm pretty sure you will not find better quality versions of these tracks anywhere else, unless they get digitally rereleased at some point in the future. Enjoy!
